Thursday morning (7/18/2019), I woke up and wandered down the hallway towards the kids rooms and I ran across Christian and Rebecca playing in the hall and when he saw me Christian exclaimed, 'I got saved!'. Yeeeeeehawwwwwww! Thank you, Lord! He was so excited!. He says he was woken by a shock to his head ~7, he got up and started writing down his dream and as he was doing this he started thinking that maybe the shock was God getting his attention and calling him to follow Him. And then he 'got saved!'!
Our salvation is a great mystery, my temptation is to try to have some portion of our salvation under our control, particularly with my kids. The truth is that it is all up to God and we as parents have to wait on and trust in God. Just as Saul got antsy and couldn't wait for the priest to arrive to perform the sacrifices, but did them himself, it's hard for us to wait on God - even when there is no pressure!.
But God is faithful - He knows what He is doing and He loves my kids more than I do. The more we grow in believing this the more peace and joy we will have as parents.
That evening we celebrated by going out to dinner.
Here he is loving on his sister.
